Emily Hampshire Joins “Chapelwhaite” Series Based On King’s ‘Jerusalems Lot’

Actress Emily Hampshire has joined the cast of Epix’s “Chapelwhaite“, based on Stephen King‘s short story Jerusalem’s Lot. The “Schitt’s Creek” actress will star opposite Adrien Brody (The Pianist), Deadline reports.

The story follows Captain Charles Boone (Brody) who, in the 1850s moves his family to his ancestral home in Preacher’s Corner, Maine. There he must confront hidden secrets and fight against the darkness that has plagued his family for generations.

Hampshire will play Rebecca Morgan, “an ambitious young woman” who left the comforts of home for college and has now returned to write for the prestigious Atlantic Magazine.”  Rebecca is instantly drawn to the Captain. She applies to be the governess of the infamous Chapelwaite Manor so that she can write her novel based on the family.

Jason and Peter Filardi will executive produce as well as serve as showrunners.

Production will begin this April in Novia Scotia on “Chapelwhaite” with a Fall 2020 premiere.
