Charlie McElveen (“The Duece”, Terrifier 2) has been cast as a series regular in ABC’s “The Brides.” McElveen will star opposite Katherine Reis, Gina Torres, and Erin Richards in the show about the brides of Dracula from Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Berlanti Productions, and Warner Bros Television, Deadline reports.
“The Brides”, a sexy contemporary reimagining of Dracula, is a family drama with a trio of powerful female leads at its heart — Cleo (Torres), Renée (Richards), and Lily (Reis). With strong horror elements, The Brides is a vampire soap about empowered, immortal women and the things they do to maintain wealth, prestige, legacy — and their non-traditional family. McElveen will play Arthur Seward. An ambitious young news reporter, Arthur works the graveyard shift at his paper, covering news of the bizarre. He becomes infatuated with Lily (Reis), a striving singer in New York City — unaware that she is, in fact, an immortal vampire.”
McElveen made his television debut on HBO’s “The Deuce”. He will next appear in the upcoming indie film La Flamme Rouge. He’s repped by Framework Entertainment, A3 Agency, and Sherpa Management.
