A live-action TV series based on the popular book series Goosebumps is officially in the works. Neal H. Moritz, who produced the film, is teaming up with Sony Pictures Television and Scholastic Entertainment to develop the series, Comicbook reports. There is no word yet on how or if author R.L. Stine will be involved or if it will affect the movie franchise.
Goosebumps has been keeping kids and families on the edge of their seats for nearly 30 years and we’re very excited to partner with Sony Pictures Television and Neal H. Moritz to bring the enduring brand to life in a fresh new way for today’s generation,” Lole Lucchese, President of Scholastic Entertainment.
This is not the first time the book series has been adapted for TV. R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps ran for several seasons in the 1990s.
