Ubisoft has announced this morning the latest edition to the “Assassin’s Creed” saga will take players to the cold north seas of the 9th Century as they play through their own Viking saga that would dwarf other Viking epics in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Players will be taking on the role of Eivor, a Norwegian Viking raider leading their clan from war-torn Norway to the shores of England. The Vikings encounter the Saxons who wish to purge them from the lands. Eivor must not only lead their clan to new riches and lands to settle in, but they must also try to achieve their destiny and ensure their place in Valhalla, the Norse afterlife.
Players can choose Eivor’s gender (as the name is unisex) and they can customize Eivor’s appearance such as hairstyle, war paint, and tattoos. Eivor can use a variety of weapons along with the famed hidden blade of the Assassin Order. Players can gain resources by leading raiding parties as they battle for their footing in the British isles.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be coming later this year (around the holidays) for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Stadia, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5.
