With theaters now having a re-open date, movie premiere dates are beginning to be announced, including the long-delayed superhero horror movie The New Mutants.
The New Mutants stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Illyana Rasputin, known Magik; Charlie Heaton as Sam Guthrie who plays Cannonball; Maisie Williams as Rahne Sinclair/ Wolfsbane; Henry Zaga co-stars as Roberto da Costa, known as Sunspot, a mutant with the ability to absorb and channel solar power; and Blu Hunt as Danielle Moonstar, a Native American telepath known as “Mirage”.
Alice Braga stars as Dr. Cecilia Reyes, a doctor with the ability to generate a protective bio-field around herself but is capable with more power than she lets on.
In the movie, “Five young mutants, just discovering their abilities while held in a secret facility against their will, fight to escape their past sins and save themselves.”
Head to theaters on August 28, 2020 to witness The New Mutants in action.
