Scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis continues to kick ass in the ongoing Halloween franchise, but now she’s making her way into the director’s chair for Mother Nature. Curtis is teaming up with Blumhouse for the climate change horror film which she will both co-write and direct.
Deadline notes that the film Curtis and her label Comet Pictures is part of a three-year first-look deal that includes both movies and TV projects.
I’m 61 and my motto now is: ‘If not now, when, if not me who?’ Curtis said in a statement. “I’m excited to have a creative home to explore my own ideas and others. Jason and his team have made feel welcome. Comet is ready to bring these stories to screen life.”
Curtis will co-write Mother Nature along with Comet’s Head of Film and TV Development Russell Goldman.
