CAPCOM announced today that the eighth installment in the “Resident Evil” series is on its way in 2021 for next-gen consoles.
Resident Evil: Village will be a first-person experience that will take players to a snow-capped village plagued with horrors. Returning to the story is Ethan, the main protagonist from Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. The story takes place a few years after the incident of RE7 and shows Ethan and his wife Mia restarting their life together before tragedy befalls them and thrusts Ethan back into the nightmarish world we know and love.
Ethan must explore a mysterious village where local legends and superstition are real and danger stalks those who explore the deceitfully calm looking village to find the answers to what why the nightmares of the past seem to not let go.
Resident Evil: Village will be coming in 2021 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
