Merge Games and Antab Studio have announced that they’re working on an upcoming shooter game that combines the neon-lit aesthetics of a cyberpunk world and the folding pages of a comic book. Inspired by the Deux Ex and Max Payne games along with Frank Miller’s graphic novel Hard Boiled comes the third-person shooter Foreclosed.

In Foreclosed, players will take on the role of Evan Kapnos who has had their identity “Foreclosed”, which is like identity theft BUT the person now no longer exists. Face with this, Evan now must fight against the dehumanizing bureaucracy that took his identity before his identity and his cybernetic implants are auctioned off!

Foreclosed will visually appear as a graphic novel with interactive cutscenes and smooth transitions making loading feel like it’s not there. Foreclosed is currently in development and is expected to be coming in 2021 to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
