Some good news for fans foaming at the mouth for the long-awaited first-person open-world shooter Cyberpunk 2077, a new trailer that showcases more of what players are expecting to see when they enter Night City as V, a cyber-enhanced outlaw.
Along with this news comes an announcement that CD Projekt Red will be teaming up with Studio Trigger and Netflix to bring the world of Cyberpunk 2077 alive in Anime form in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners a standalone story that takes place in the same universe as the game. The 10 episode series will follow a street kid who becomes a mercenary outlaw known as an Edgerunner or Cyberpunk.
Hiroyuki Imaishi (Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, Promare) will direct the series along with assistant director Masahiko Otsuka (Gurren Lagann, Promare), creative director Hiromi Wakabayashi (Kill la Kill), character designers Yoh Yoshinari (Little Witch Academia, BNA: Brand New Animal) and Yuto Kaneko(Little Witch Academia), and the adapted screenplay by Yoshiki Usa (SSSS.GRIDMAN, Promare) and Masahiko Otsuka (Gurren Lagann, Kill la Kill, Promare) with the original score being composed by the legendary Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill series).
