Netflix has announced that following Part 4 of “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” which will premiere later this year, fans will have to say good-bye to the teenage witch. The series has officially been canceled.

Working on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has been an incredible honor from Day One. The cast, beginning with Kiernan as everyone’s favorite teen witch, has been an absolute joy. I am beyond thankful to the crew, writers, editors, assistants, and everyone for pouring so much love into this dark dream of a show,”  Executive producer and showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa states. “I’m also grateful to our partners at Netflix, Warner Bros., Berlanti Television and Archie Comics for letting us tell the story we wanted to tell, the way we wanted to tell it. We can’t wait for everyone to see Part Four.”

In part 4’s final eight episodes we will witness The Eldritch Terros descend on Greendale. The coven must fight each threat individually; leading up to Sabrina facing The Void.

“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” stars Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina, Gavin Leatherwood, Ross Lynch, Lachlan Watson, and Jaz Sinclair. Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Chance Perdomo, Jaz Sinclair, Michelle Gomez, Richard Coyle, Tati Gabrielle, Sam Corlett, Adeline Rudolph, Skye Marshall, Jonathan Whitesell, and Abigail Cowen round out the cast.

It’s not a huge surprise that Netflix has canceled the controversial show. The streaming giant has a pattern of ending shows after four seasons, including its popular show “Ozark.”
