That cheeky little devil Lucifer is back this August. Today, the fifth season’s trailer has arrived to bless us all with a much-need dose of Tom Ellis as the iconic character from the graphic novel series spin-off of Sandman by Neil Gaiman.

This season Ellis will be pulling double duty, starring as both Lucifer and his twin brother Michael. Michael has long held a grudge against his brother and aims to not just cause chaos in Lucifer’s life, but take it.

Last we saw Lucifer he was returning to hell just moments after Chloe confessed her love. Now, Lucifer finds himself trapped below with Michael causing havoc.

Ellis returns alongside Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, Lesley-Ann Brandit, Scarlett Estevez, Rachel Harris, D.B. Woodside, and Aimee Garcia.

“Supernatural” actor-director Richard Speight Jr. recently told us during an interview that he is returning to direct two episodes of season 5.

Lucifer” returns to Netflix on August 21st with six extra episodes for what could possibly be its final season.
