This weekend during the Comic-Con@Home event, Hulu unveiled the trailer for Marvel’s new dark supernatural series “Helstrom,” based on the comic book created by Gary Friedrich and Roy Thomas. The amazing trailer teases a dark, brutal, horror-based series that we can’t wait to watch!
During the panel, which you can watch below, showrunner Paul Zbyszewski and cast members Tom Austen, Sydney Lemmon, Elizabeth Marvel, Robert Wisdom, Ariana Guerra, June Carryl, and Alain Uy teased what’s to come in the 10-episode first season.
As the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer, Helstrom follows Daimon (Tom Austen) and Ana Helstrom (Sydney Lemmon), and their complicated dynamic, as they track down the worst of humanity — each with their own attitude and skills.”
It’s about the family that we’re born with and the family that we create,” he said. “It’s a nature-versus-nurture story. It’s about the stuff that we’re born with genetically that we inherit and we carry with us because we have to. It’s about our environment that we’re raised with and the values that we’re imprinted with as we grow older, and that affects our ability to judge right from wrong, and our morality.” Director Zbyszewski stated.
