Writer-director Dave Franco makes his directorial feature debut with The Rental, co-written by Joe Swanberg. We’ve got a new clip to share with you in which a disturbing discovery is made. Starring Alison Brie (“GLOW”), Dan Stevens (“Downton Abbey”) Sheila Vand (A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night), and Jeremy Allen White (“Shameless”), the film centers on two couples looking to celebrate their seed money from a new business venture, embark on a weekend getaway to a seemingly perfect house they’ve booked online. A Experiment Goes Terribly Wrong In ‘Shifter’ (Trailer)

An experiment goes terribly wrong in director Jacob Burns‘ indie sci-fi thriller Shifter, which he co-wrote with Zach Burns. Nicole Fancher (Unchained Love), Ashley Mandanas (Golden Arm), Paul T. Taylor (Hellraiser: Judgment), and Jamie Brewster (The Adventures of Jurassic Pet: Chapter 1) star. In Shifter, “a young woman experiences painful and gruesome side effects after an experiment with time travel goes wrong.” Shifter made its world premiere at this year’s DeadCenter Film Festival in Oklahoma City, where it won Best Oklahoma Feature. The film is produced by Jacob Burns, Zach Burns, and Vinnie Hogan. Back in 2017 musician G Tom Mac, whose song “Cry Little Sister” became iconic after being featured on The Lost Boys soundtrack, sat down with us for an interview. Saw III actor Angus Macfadyen is set to star in the upcoming horror Alive, newly acquired by Cranked Up Films. Thomas Cocquerel (“The 100”) and Camille Stopps (“Reign”) also star in the chilling tale about a severely injured man (Cocquerel) and woman (Stopps) who awaken in an abandoned sanitorium with no memory of who they are or what has happened.
