We reported earlier this year that CBS had ordered the new series “Clarice,” a spin-off of The Silence of the Lambs. We’ve got an update, the series is headed your way in early 2021. But that’s not all, we’ve got the first teaser trailer that gives us a glimpse of the infamous Buffalo Bill.

The series takes viewers back to 1993, a year after the events of The Silence of the Lambs, “the series is a deep dive into the untold personal story of Clarice Starling, as she returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high stakes political world of Washington, D.C. Clarice has graduated from UVA with a double major in Psych and Criminology. Her bravery gives her an inner light that draws monsters and madmen to her. Her complex psychological makeup comes from a challenging childhood, and her drive comes from her need to escape the burden of family secrets that have haunted her throughout her life.”

Rebecca Breeds (“Pretty Little Liars”) stars as Clarice Starling. T cast also includes Michael Cudlitz as Paul Krendler, Lucca de Oliveira as Tomas Esquivel, Kal Penn as Shaan Tripathi, Nick Sandow as Agent Clarke, Devyn Tyler as Ardelia Mapp, and Marnee Carpenter as Catherine Martin.

Elizabeth Klaviter (“The Resident”) serves as the series’ showrunner. Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet write the series as well as executive produce. The pilot is directed by Maja Vrvilo.

Clarice” premieres on CBS and CBS All Access on Thursday, February 11 at 10/9c.
