Joe Wright‘s The Woman in the Window was set to open in theaters earlier this year but like many films got caught up in the madness of the pandemic. We can report that the movie is heading to Netflix!
In the film, listed as a psychological suspense thriller, an agoraphobic child psychologist befriends a neighbor across the street, only to see her own life turned upside down when the woman disappears and in what she suspects is foul play.
Amy Adams (Arrival) leads the all-star cast that includes Julianne Moore (Hannibal, Psycho 1998), Gary Oldman (Bram Stoker’s Dracula), Anthony Mackie (Avengers: Endgame), Wyatt Russell (Overlord), Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight), and Brian Tyree Henry (Child’s Play 2019).
The screenplay is from Tracy Letts (Killer Joe, Bug) and is based on the best-selling novel by A.J. Finn.
The Woman in the Window premieres on Netflix on May 14, 2021.
