Blue Underground, the company that brought you Maniac and Zombie on 4K, is gearing up to deliver Two Evil Eyes on 4K Ultra this summer.
Originally released back in 1990, the film was directed by two legendary directors, George A. Romero and Dario Argento. Two Evil Eyes features two tales, both based on the works of Edgar Allen Poe. In one story a greedy wife murders her husband, in the other, a reporter takes in a strange black cat.
The movie features an all-star cast including Adrienne Barbeau (The Fog), Harvey Keitel (Reservoir Dogs), Ramy Ada (“NYPD Blue”), Bingo O’Malley (Creepshow), John Amos (Coming to America, Coming 2 America), Tom Atkins (My Bloody Valentine, Halloween III), and Jonathan Adams (Rocky Horror Picture Show).
Two Evil Eyes will be released on August 24, 2021, “in true 4K Ultra High Definition with Dolby Vision HDR and a new Dolby Atmos audio mix.” We’ll let you know when the pre-order date is announced. In the meantime check out the trailer.
