Just a week after A Quiet Place 2 made its premiere in theaters on May 28th, Paramount has already set the release date for the third installment of the franchise for March 31, 2023.
Jeff Nichols (Mud) will be in the director’s chair this time, taking over for John Krasinski. The sequel is based on an idea by Krasinski. It’s also being described as more of a spin-off than a sequel by Variety.
Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and Krasinski are producing, with Allyson Seeger executive producing.
Part II finds the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) now facing the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path. The origin story is also revealed in the form of flashbacks.
A Quiet Place II is now in theaters and will be making its streaming premiere on Paramount+ on July 12th.
