The film industry continues to evolve thanks to the pandemic with films being released like never before, which includes the upcoming animated sequel The Addams Family 2. News has come that the movie will get a theatrical and home release on the same day this October.
In the sequel to 2019’s movie, “We find Morticia and Gomez distraught that their children are growing up, skipping family dinners, and totally consumed with “scream time.” To reclaim their bond they decide to cram Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester, and the crew into their haunted camper and hit the road for one last miserable family vacation. Their adventure across America takes them out of their element and into hilarious run-ins with their iconic cousin, It, as well as many new kooky characters. What could possibly go wrong?”
The voice cast includes returning Addams Family stars Oscar Isaac (Gomez), Charlize Theron (Morticia), Chloë Grace Moretz (Wednesday), Nick Kroll (Fester), Bette Midler (Grandma), and Snoop Dogg as Cousin It. Javon “Wanna” Walton will now voice “Pugsley.” Bill Hader joins the cast to play the new character of “Cyrus.”
Greg Tiernan returns for The Addams Family 2 and will direct along with Conrad Vernon. The Addams Family 2 arrives in theaters and on premium VOD on October 1. 2021, from MGM.
