New “Dexter: New Blood” Trailer Teases A New Killer And A Reunion

A new official trailer for “Dexter” season 9 is here, revealing that the killer’s “dark passenger” is still along for the ride. We also see the return of Dexter’s son, Harrison which may cause his new life to unravel.
 
Officially titled “Dexter: New Blood“, the series is set ten years after Dexter faked his death and disappeared during Hurricane Laura. Dexter has started a new life under the name Jim Lindsay in the small town of Iron Lake, New York where he has a new love interest, the local Chief of Police. When local children begin to disappear Dexter can resist turning back to his old ways.
 
Michael C. Hall is back as Dexter and is joined by previously announced cast members Julia Jones (“The Mandalorian”), John Lithgow (“Dexter”)Alano Miller (Sylvie’s Love), Jack Alcott (“The Good Lord Bird”), and Johnny Sequoyah (Believe), with Clancy Brown (Pet Sematary Two, Shawshank Redemption) playing the main villain, Kurt Caldwell. Jennifer Carpenter returns as Dexter’s sister, detective Debra Morgan.
 
Marcos Siega will be directing six of the ten episodes, as well as executive produce along with Hall. John Goldwyn will also executive produce with Sara Colleton, Bill Carraro, and also Scott Reynolds. Clyde Phillips, the showrunner on the first four seasons, is returning as well.
 
Dexter: New Blood” premieres on Showtime on November 7, 2021.
