As filming begins on the new adaptation of Stephen King‘s Salem’s Lot cast continues to be announced with the latest being prolific actor William Sadler, who made the announcement himself on Twitter.

Sadler joins previously announced cast member Lewis Pullman (The Strangers: Prey at Night) who will be starring as author Ben Mears who returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot seeking inspiration for his next book only to find his hometown is being preyed upon by a vampire. Together with a ragtag group of people, he sets out to fight the monster.
Makenzie Leigh, Bill Camp, and Spencer Treat Clark will also star in the film produced by James Wan, and written, directed, and executive produced by Gary Dauberman (It, Annabelle Comes Home, The Nun).
Sadler is not new to Stephen King adaptations, he starred in 2007’s The Mist, The Shawshank Redemption, and The Green Mile. He also has a long list of fantastic roles in amazing films such as VFW, Demon Knight, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Adventure, and series like “Tales from the Crypt”.
