Religious Horror ‘A Banquet’ Conjures A February Release Date & Trailer

Award-winning Scottish director Ruth Paxton‘s religious horror, A Banquet, is due to be released this February. The new trailer teases a dark film filled with horror as we meet a mother and daughter experiencing trials and tribulations that will stay with them forever.

 

In the film, “widowed mother Holly (Sienna Guillory) is radically tested when her teenage daughter Betsey (Jessica Alexander) experiences profound enlightenment and insists that her body is no longer her own but in service to a higher power. Bound to her newfound faith, Betsey refuses to eat but loses no weight. In an agonizing dilemma, torn between love and fear, Holly is forced to confront the boundaries of her own beliefs.

 

A Banquet, starring Sienna Guillory, Jessica Alexander, Ruby Stokes, and Lindsay Duncan, and written by Justin Bull, is set to be released on February 18, 2022, on VOD and Digital, from IFC Midnight.
