Netflix has released the first images from their upcoming series titled “Beef,” from A24, starring “The Walking Dead” actor Steven Yeun and Birds of Prey actress Ali Wong.
The series, featuring 10-episode, is a mix of dark comedy with drama, action, and thriller elements.
“Beef” follows the aftermath of a road rage incident between two strangers. Danny Cho (Steven Yeun), a failing contractor with a chip on his shoulder, goes head-to-head with Amy Lau (Ali Wong), a self-made entrepreneur with a picturesque life. The increasing stakes of their feud unravel their lives and relationships.
Joseph Lee, Young Mazino, David Choe, Maria Bello, Patti Yasutake, Ashley Park, Mia Serafino, Justin H. Min, and Remy Holt star.
Lee Sung Jin (Dave, Silicon Valley) serves as creator, showrunner, and Executive Producer. Episodes of “Beef” were directed by Jake Schreier, HIKARI, and Lee Sung Jin. Steven Yeun (Minari, Nope, Burning) also produces the series through Universal Remote.
“Beef” premieres on Netflix on April 6, 2023.
