Guillermo del Toro took home the Oscar for the “Best Animated Feature” award a few days ago for Pinocchio, and he’s wasting no time beginning work on his next project, a Frankenstein film for Netflix, which he has been developing for some time. He wrote the script and will direct it.
News comes via Variety: Andrew Garfield (The Amazing Spider-Man), Oscar Isaac (Ex Machina), and Mia Goth (Pearl) are all in talks to star in the live-action movie.

The film is based on Mary Shelly’s iconic 1818 novel.
