After a long wait, we finally have news about the upcoming third season of Netflix’s “The Witcher,” including a new teaser trailer.
The new teaser gives us a look at the wild hunt, Henry Cavill’s Geralt, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, and Freya Allen as Ciri. This will be the last season of Cavill starring as Geralt before Liam Hemsworth takes over the role.
The official plot goes like this: “As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it,”
“Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to uncover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery.”
Season three of “The Witcher” will air in two parts, with the first five premiering on June 29, 2023, with the second half debuting on July 27th.
