Oscar-winner Michelle Yeoh calls the dead in the new trailer for Kenneth Branagh’s A Haunting in Venice.

The film, based on Agatha Christie’s 1969 novel “Halloween Party,” has a star-studded cast that also includes Tina Fey, Jude Hill, Kelly Reilly, and Jamie Dornan. Kenneth Branagh will be reprising his role as Hercule Poirot from Death on the Nile and Murder on the Orient Express.

“Set in post-WWII Venice on All Hallow’s Eve, Poirot, now retired and living in his own exile, reluctantly attends a seance. But when one of the guests is murdered, it is up to the former detective to uncover the killer again.”

“It’s a supernatural world where the normal rules do not apply,” Branagh told Variety. “Murders and ghosts are irresistible to a man with that mustache and that nose for sniffing other culprits.”

A Haunting in Venice is set to premiere in theaters on September 15, 2023, from 20th Century.
