Joe Lo Trugilo, star of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” has written and directed a new horror thriller, Outpost, starring Beth Dover (“Orange is the New Black”). The trailer teases a film that is not only filled with twists and action but also tackles dark themes such as PTSD and domestic violence.
In the film, “After a violent assault, a woman asks her best friend for help escaping an abusive ex. She’s given a job as a fire lookout in the mountains of northern Idaho, hoping the peaceful solitude will heal her trauma. But the PTSD and isolation have other plans, and it’s suddenly a fight to save herself and the town.”
The all-star cast includes Ato Essandoh (“Chicago MED”), Dylan Baker (Spider-Man trilogy), Becky Ann Baker (“Freaks and Geeks”), Dallas Roberts (Glass Onion), Ta’Rea Campbell (“Blue Bloods”), Tim Neff (“AHS”), and D.R. Anderson (“Z Nation”)
