Found footage film The Blair Witch Project was groundbreaking, paving the way for found footage films, as well as multiple books and video games, and sequels. Now the franchise is expanding again with a new sequel.
According to Production Weekly, Oliver Park (The Offering, Strange Events) is set to direct the sequel for Lionsgate, who is teaming up with Haxan Films, who were behind the 1999 original. The Blair Witch sequel will reportedly start production late this summer.
