The mystery of Netflix’s obsession with killing off series just when they are getting good continues to baffle me. But it is what it is, I guess.
The latest series on Netflix’s chopping block is the action-packed, paranormal series “Lockwood & Co.” after just one season, which is sad because it’s entertaining, emotional, creepy, and intense.
In the series, “Teenage ghost hunters scour the streets of London, engaging in deadly combat with the spirits of the night. Among the many adult agencies, one small start-up stands out, Lockwood & Co, run by teenagers Anthony Lockwood, George Karim, and Lucy Carlysle. Together the renegade trio is free of financial motive and adult supervision but destined to change the course of history forever as they unravel a grand mystery.”
The massive cast includes Morven Christie, Luke Treadaway, Ruby Stokes, Paddy Holland, Ivanno Jeremiah, and Ali Hadji-Heshmati. Cameron Chapman, Rhianna Dorris, Hayley Konadu, and Jack Bandeira.
The series is an adaptation of the famous novel penned by Jonathan Stroud, who also wrote the script for the television series.
