THQ Nordic has announced that “Stranger Things” star David Harbour and Jodie Comer (Free Guy) will lend their voices to the game remake Alone In The Dark.

Set in the American South during the 1920s, Alone In The Dark follows Emily Hartwood and private investigator Edward Carnby as they explore Derceto Manor, where Hartwood’s uncle has gone missing.

Players will be able to play as either Comer or Harbour’s characters, with each protagonist offering a different view of the same story.

Players will “encounter strange residents, nightmarish realms, dangerous monsters and ultimately uncover a plot of rising evil,” according to the Steam page for Alone In The Dark. “At the intersection of reality, mystery, and insanity, an adventure waits that will challenge your core beliefs. Who can you trust, what will you believe, and what will you do next?”

The original game, which was released for PC in 1992, is credited with kicking off the 3D survival horror genre and reportedly heavily influenced Capcom‘s Resident Evil horror series.

Alone In The Dark, rated “Mature 17+, which serves as a “love letter” to the original, will be available on Playstation, Xbox, and PC on October 25, 2023. Watch the preview below, which looks absolutely fantastic! Pre-order your copy now.
