Fans have been eagerly awaiting (for far too long) the new season of Netflix’s hit adaptation “The Witcher.” A new extended clip has now been released that sees our favorite trio fighting to protect each other.

Released during Netflix’s global fan event, Tudum 2023, the two-minute-long clip pits Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer against the fire-wielding Rience and elves who have come to kidnap Ciri. But the group will not let that happen without a fight.

Season two was based on the first of Sapkowski’s novels, ‘Blood of Elves.’  The third season will reveal more about Ciri’s heritage.

The official plot goes like this: “As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to uncover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery.”

The wait for fans is nearly over. The first half of season three of “The Witcher” will debut on Netflix on June 29, 2023. The second half is set to arrive on July 27th.
