When you begin to watch the brutal new trailer for The Passenger, you might think it’s just another home invasion movie, but you would be wrong. It’s so much more.
The film centers on “Randy (Johnny Berchtold), who is perfectly content fading into the background. But when his coworker Benson (Kyle Gallner) goes on a sudden and violent rampage leaving a trail of destruction in his wake, Randy is forced to face his fears and confront his troubled past to survive.
Liza Weil and Billy Slaughter also star in the film, not to be confused with the Spanish horror film of the same name released earlier this month. Jason Blum executive produces this one under his Blumhouse Television banner.
The Passenger, directed by Carter Smith, who also brought you the body horrors The Ruins and Swallowed, premieres on August 4, 2023, from Paramount Pictures.
