Spooky season has officially arrived, and so has the new teaser trailer for Disney’s Haunted Mansion, hot off the heels of the release of its first featurette earlier this week. The new footage gives us a look at Jared Leto’s character, the Hatbox Ghost, an original character from the famous ride.
The cast features many of Hollywood’s elite, including Tiffany Haddish (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent), Lakeith Stanfield (Knives Out), Owen Wilson (“Loki”), Rosario Dawson (Clerks III), and Danny DeVito (Always Sunny in Philidelphia”). Jamie Lee Curtis (Halloween Ends) will play the role of Madame Leota.
“In this mysterious adventure, a doctor (Dawson) and her 9-year-old son (Chase Dillon), looking to start a new life, move into a strangely affordable mansion in New Orleans, only to discover that the place is much more than they bargained for. Desperate for help, they contact a priest (Wilson), who, in turn, enlists the aid of a widowed scientist-turned failed-paranormal expert (Stanfield), a French Quarter psychic (Haddish) and a crotchety historian (DeVito).”
Justin Simien (Dear White People, Bad Hair) directs from the script by Katie Dippold (Ghostbusters 2016).
