FX has just released the trailer for their upcoming thrilling murder mystery series, “A Murder at the End of the World,” which opens with a cover of “Strangelove” by Depeche Mode.
The series features an all-star cast that includes Emma Corrin (Lady Chatterley’s Lover, The Crown), Brit Marling (Another Earth, The OA), Clive Owen (Children of Men, King Arthur), and Harris Dickinson (Where the Crawdads Sing, Triangle of Sadness).
Created by Marling and Zal Batmanglij (Sound of My Voice, The OA), the seven-episode series centers on Corrin’s Darby Hart, a hacker and amateur sleuth who is invited by a reclusive billionaire to a remote location along with eight other guests. Darby must use her skills to unravel a mystery when one of the guests is found dead. She has to prove it was murder against a tide of competing interests before the killer strikes again.
The series also stars Ryan J. Haddad (The Politician, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Neal Huff (Radium Girls, Beach Rats), Edoardo Ballerini (The Pest, Dinner Rush), Raúl Esparza (Hannibal, Candy), Joan Chen (The Last Emperor, Saving Face), Britian Seibert (The Knick, A Murder at the End of the World), and Daniel Olson (Spider-Man: Far From Home, Our Flag Means Death).
The series is produced by FX Productions and written by Melanie Marnich (The Affair, The OA) and Rebecca Roanhorse (Trail of Lightning, Race to the Sun). Executive producers include Nicki Paluga (Perception, The OA), Andrea Sperling (Transparent, But I’m a Cheerleader), Marnich, Batmanglij, and Marling.
“A Murder at the End of the World” is set to premiere on FX on November 14, 2023.
