One Halloween classic fans hold dear, Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow, is getting a new adaptation from Pet Sematary: Bloodlines director Lindsey Anderson Beer, who briefly mentioned the movie during our recent interview.
The story, which has been around for generations, was written in 1820, as a short story by Washington Irving. And sees a headless horseman return to life to plague a village. It has been featured multiple times on both the big screen and TV, from silent film to Disney’s animated movie, a series that ran for four seasons on Fox, and then there’s Burton’s 1999 spooky tale starring Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci, and Christopher Walken.
