This summer, brilliant director Osgood Perkins (The Blackcoat’s Daughter) is back with the chilling horror-thriller Longlegs. A series of teasers have been released over the past few months, wheting the appetite of horror fans and leaving them craving more. We have good news. The new official trailer has arrived and it depicts a nightmarish descent into a brutal serial killer’s twisted world.
The narrative centers on FBI rookie Agent Lee Harker, played by Maika Monroe. Harker races against time to save another potential victim from a killer only as the “man downstairs.” As she delves deeper into the case, Harker discovers a horrifying truth—she has a shocking connection to the killer’s twisted game. Can she save the victim, or will she become one herself?
Longlegs boasts a powerhouse cast including Monroe, known for her roles in It Follows and “Watcher”, and Nicolas Cage, fresh off his performance in Arcadian. Monroe and Cage are joined by Blair Underwood, Alicia Witt, and more.
Perkins relies on emotionally unsettling visuals and a soul-crushing soundscape to draw viewers in. Judging by the trailer, there’s no doubt that that will be the case with this film.
