Sometimes, you want to put a hole in the wall… then now, you have a hole in the wall you have to fix or get into a lot of trouble. That’s why destructive maps in games have always been popular and sadly are not used more. Thankfully Tuxedo Labs have created a game where pretty much everything is destructable! Teardown has made quite the splash on PC and has a devoted Mod community. Now Tuxedo Labs and Saber Interactive are bringing the destructive world of Teardown to console! This is Teardown Ultimate Edition!

Teardown is a sandbox-style voxel game where players can either play the campaign/story where you can plan heists and manipulate the map for a quick escape or sandbox where you can explore and destroy to your heart’s content.

Teardown‘s controls are easy to master, allowing you to get right into the game and let loose! When the game does have music, it’s good, I just wish that in the sandbox there’s a way you can have music play as you goof around and not be awkwardly silent. The Voxel art is awesome, I was not sure at first how I would feel about it, but it fits the game perfectly and some of the modded worlds created by users are impressive!

As it comes to gameplay, I’ll admit that at the time of writing this, I’ve strictly been playing in Sandbox mode and exploring the mod pack. I strongly suggest getting the Ultimate Edition of Teardown as it includes a season pass that has DLCs and the mods and allows you to stay in the loop for upcoming mods and DLCs that are coming to console versions in 2024.

Overall, I enjoyed Teardown Ultimate Edition and had a lot of fun. You can drive any vehicle, blow up buildings, speedrun, and execute the perfect heist, and as soon as the creative mode comes in it will be a game changer I’m sure! on my scale of 1-10, Teardown Ultimate Edition is a 10!

Both Teardown and Ultimate Edition will be available on PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on November 15th.
