This Christmas, the jolly old Saint Nick is getting a sinister makeover. In the new Christmas horror film Santa Isn’t Real, a masked serial killer dons a red suit and beard, turning the holiday season into a bloody nightmare.
Written and directed by Zac Locke, who previously brought us the 2018 slasher Black Christmas, the film follows a young woman named Nikki who is brutally attacked on Christmas Eve. When she tries to convince her friends that Santa Claus is her assailant, they understandably dismiss her claims as a delusion.
However, a year later, the masked Santa returns to terrorize Nikki and her friends at their remote cabin. This time, they must overcome their disbelief and fight for their lives against the deranged killer.
If you’re looking for a festive twist on the classic slasher genre, then “Santa Isn’t Real” is definitely worth checking out. The film will surely get your heart racing and leave you feeling slightly more cautious about the jolly man in red.
Santa Isn’t Real stars Scarlett Sperduto, Dana Millican, and Kaya Coleman. The film is set to premiere on Digital and VOD on December 8, 2023, and is an XYZ Film.
