This exciting news comes after the recent resolution of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes which has caused significant delays in the production schedule of the supernatural series and several other shows and films.

The new season will mark the last of the beloved series. It will pick up after the events of the season four finale that ended in a rift being opened up between Hawkins and the Upside Down. We will see mysteries, new adventures, and new heroes in season five.

Terminator star Linda Hamilton joins the cast alongside returning actors Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Natalia Dyer, and Sadie Sink.

One major question lingers from season 4, is Eddie really dead? Some are theorizing that Joseph Quinn’s charasatic rocker Eddie is still kicking and is trapped in the upside down, now influenced by its darkness after sacrifing himself. Has it been confirmed? No, but fans are hoping like hell – us included – that he’ll return.
