The sequel reunites director Gil Kenan with co-writer Jason Reitman, continuing the legacy of the Ghostbusters. The film also boasts the return of our favorite proton pack-wielding crew. Carrie Coon, Paul Rudd, and Mckenna Grace return, reprising their roles alongside the iconic original cast members Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Ernie Hudson, William Atherton, and Annie Potts.
Frozen Empire marks the fifth film to grace the big screen. It follows the original 1984 classic, its 1989 sequel, the 2016 reboot with a separate continuity, and the critically acclaimed 2021 entry, Ghostbusters: Afterlife, as well as multiple series. The franchise also saw a new game released in 2022, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed.
