Shudder and Vertigo Releasing are gearing up to unleash one of the year’s most highly anticipated horror films, the chilling supernatural horror film Late Night with the Devil. This terrifying journey blurs the line between late-night entertainment and demonic possession, leaving audiences breathless. Ahead of its March premiere, the final trailer has been unleashed.
A Special Gone Horribly Wrong
The film takes us back to 1977, on a seemingly innocent Halloween night. Jack Delroy (played by the captivating David Dastmalchian, known for his roles in Dune and The Dark Knight), a late-night talk show host known for his program “Night Owls,” decides to make his Halloween special unforgettable. Little does he know his decision will unleash unimaginable horror.
Jack welcomes a parapsychologist and the subject of her latest book – a young teenager, the sole survivor of a mass suicide in a Satanic church. As the interview begins, a portal to evil is unknowingly opened, transforming the lighthearted atmosphere into a terrifying spectacle.
Beyond the Jump Scares: A Masterful Blend
Late Night with the Devil goes beyond cheap jump scares. Brothers Cameron and Colin Cairnes, known for their work on the disturbing 100 Bloody Acres, have crafted a masterpiece. They seamlessly blend the familiar energy of late-night television with the chilling atmosphere of classic horror. The film received rave reviews at SXSW, achieving a perfect 100% Fresh score. Prepare yourself for a terrifying descent into demonic chaos that will linger long after the credits roll.
A Collaboration of Horror Powerhouses
Late Night with the Devil exemplifies the power of collaboration. Spooky Pictures, the production company behind iconic films like It and The Grudge, joins forces with Derek Dauchy and Future Pictures to bring this chilling vision to life. The team boasts horror heavyweights like Joel Anderson (Lake Mungo) and Rami Yasin as executive producers, alongside Dastmalchian himself. With this dream team at the helm, the film promises a scare-filled experience with expert storytelling.
David Dastmalchian stars alongside Laura Gordon, Ian Bliss, Fayssal Bazzi, and Ingrid Torelli.
Witness the Horror: In Theaters and Beyond
The demonic fury of Late Night with the Devil explodes in theaters on March 22nd, 2024. The terror doesn’t end there. On April 19th, the film arrives exclusively on Shudder, the go-to streaming platform for all things horror.
