The last news we reported on the upcoming Wolf Man remake was that “Ozark” star and Emmy winner Julia Garner had joined the cast alongside Christopher Abbott. Today, we can report that filming is officially underway. The news came via a social media post from Blumhouse. It features director Leigh Whannell holding a clapboard labeled “Wolf Man.”

A Family Fights for Survival:

This fresh take abandons the original’s cursed couple narrative and offers a terrifying new scenario. A desperate family finds itself locked in a brutal struggle for survival against a bloodthirsty werewolf.

A Genre Maestro Returns

Leigh Whannell, the visionary director behind the critically acclaimed The Invisible Man reboot and the Saw and Insidious franchises, returns to the helm for this monstrous project.

A Legacy Reborn

The Wolf Man, released in 1941, made the monster iconic. Directed by George Waggner, it cemented its place in horror history. The iconic film, starring Lon Chaney Jr. and Claude Rains, continues to enthrall fans today, evidenced by its successful Blu-ray, DVD, and re-release collections that garnered multiple award nominations and a Saturn Award win. This enduring legacy has inspired countless other werewolf films, including Wolfman (1979), The Wolfman (2010), and a plethora of others.

A Howling Good Experience

Blumhouse’s The Wolf Man will sink its teeth into theaters nationwide on October 25, 2024. Stay tuned for further updates, and prepare for a howling good time that will redefine a cinematic legend.
