Radio Silence (Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillet), behind several films of the Scream franchise, delivers a new twist on vampires in Abigail. And she’s coming home on Digital from Universal Pictures.
In the film, a team is hired by a mysterious fixer to kidnap the daughter of an influential figure and must guard her for one night to net a $50 million ransom. But they soon discover they’re locked inside an isolated mansion with no ordinary little girl. They’ve bitten off more than they could chew. And they are about to pay dearly for their mistake.
Melissa Barrera (Scream VI) and Kathryn Newton (Lisa Frankenstein) star with Dan Stevens (Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire”). Giancarlo Esposito (“Breaking Bad,”) appears along with Alisha Weir (Matilda), Kevin Durand (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Angus Cloud (“Euphoria”), and William Catlett (“Lovecraft County”).
Abigail promises to terrify audiences with a shocking and original take on these classic bloodsuckers. Forget the cobwebs and brooding count Dracula. This movie throws out the tired vampire tropes, embracing a bold new identity.
Sink your teeth into Abigail, the “Certified Fresh” must-see vampire movie of the year. Luckily, you don’t have to wait long. It’s coming to Digital to rent or own on May 7, 2024.
