Get ready for a chilling return to a world of terror. Nightwatch: Demons Are Forever, the long-awaited sequel to the Danish cult classic Nightwatch, is poised to terrify audiences. Ahead of its release later this month, we’ve got a new clip.

Written and directed by the original’s mastermind, Ole Bornedal, the film reunites original cast members Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (“Game of Thrones”) and Kim Bodnia (“Killing Eve”) for a new chapter in this haunting story.

The original Nightwatch, released in 1994, captivated audiences with its exploration of darkness and the fragility of sanity. The 1997 American remake, starring Ewan McGregor, further solidified the film’s place in horror history. Demons Are Forever promises to deliver a fresh wave of chills while staying true to the unsettling atmosphere of its predecessor.

The story centers on Emma (Fanny Leander Bornedal), a young medical student haunted by a past she barely remembers. Emma takes a night watchman job where her parents were once terrorized by the infamous Inspector Wörmer (played by Coster-Waldau). She unwittingly awakens a dormant evil. Determined to uncover the truth about that fateful night, Emma confronts the deranged Wörmer, reigniting a thirst for vengeance that threatens to consume them all.

The long-awaited sequel, Nightwatch: Demons are Forever, a Shudder Original, will continue the chilling story when it premieres on May 17th. Want more thrills and chills? Be sure to check out our list of everything coming to Shudder this May.
