Shudder is stirring up a frightfully fantastic feast this May, packed with chills, scares, and everything in between. Shudder has something to satisfy every horror craving from spine-tingling sequels to stop-motion nightmares.

Nightwatch: Demons Are Forever (May 17th)

The wait is over! The sequel to the Danish horror classic “Nightwatch” premieres on Shudder on May 17th. This chilling follow-up centers on Martin’s daughter, Emma, who dives into the mystery surrounding her parents’ disappearance nearly 30 years ago. Her investigation leads her to the infamous serial killer Wörmer, reawakening a chain of terrifying events. For those unfamiliar with the original masterpiece, Shudder is also offering the 1994 “Nightwatch” film by director Ole Bornedal on the same day. Don’t miss this double dose of Danish dread!

Stopmotion (May 31st)

Get ready to be animated…by fear! “Stopmotion,” premiering on May 31st, follows Ella Blake, a talented but troubled stop-motion animator. As she grapples with the loss of her overbearing mother, Ella embarks on a dark new project – a puppet film that soon becomes a terrifying battleground for her sanity. Will Ella conquer her inner demons, or will the creatures of her creation take control? This award-winning film, directed by Robert Morgan and starring Aisling Franciosi (“The Fall”) and Tom York (“Wolf Hall”), promises a chilling exploration of creativity and obsession.
