AMC Networks has unveiled the official trailer for the highly anticipated sci-fi thriller spin-off series “Orphan Black: Echoes.” Set in the same universe as “Orphan Black,” “Echoes” delves even deeper into the complexities of human manipulation.
Krysten Ritter (“Jessica Jones”) stars as Lucy, a woman whose origins are shrouded in mystery. Lucy isn’t alone. As she embarks on a thrilling journey, she encounters other women who may hold the key to the mystery of their identities. Secrets and betrayal intertwine as these newfound sisters as they piece together their past.
Ritter joins a stellar cast that includes Keeley Hawes, Amanda Fix, Avan Jogia, Rya Kihlstedt, and James Hiroyuki Liao. The series is helmed by creator and showrunner Anna Fishko, alongside John Fawcett, the co-creator of the original series, returning to direct and executive produce.
“Orphan Black: Echoes” premieres on Sunday, June 23rd, at 10 pm ET/PT on AMC and BBC America. New episodes can also be streamed weekly on AMC+.
“Orphan Black” premiered in March 2013. The hit series has gone on to be nominated for ninety-six awards and win sixty-nine times, including a Prime Time Emmy. The series centers on a streetwise hustler, played by Tatiana Maslany. She is pulled into a conspiracy after witnessing the suicide of a girl who looks just like her.
