The first look for Black Cab, a new supernatural horror film, is here! The image, first revealed by Screen Daily, features Nick Frost, best known for his role as Ed in Shaun of the Dead, as the star attraction.

Frost portrays an “erratic cab driver” in this upcoming film by director Bruce Goodison (Murdered By My Father). The story follows a young couple, played by Synnøve Karlsen (Last Night in Soho) and Luke Norris (The Weekend Away), who find themselves trapped in a terrifying situation. After hiring Frost’s character for a seemingly ordinary ride, they soon realize they’re on a detour to a sinister destination.

The movie, currently in post-production, promises to be a suspenseful horror experience. Details about the plot remain shrouded in mystery, but the image hints at a dark turn for Frost’s character.

Black Cab is a collaborative effort between Sony Pictures Television and Stolen Pictures. The film will premiere on AMC Networks’ Shudder streaming service later this year.

Nick Frost brings both his comedic and dramatic talents to Black Cab and even contributed “additional writing” to the screenplay, which was originally penned by David Michael Emerson and Virginia Gilbert.

While details about Black Cab are still emerging, the first-look image and the talented cast and crew have generated significant buzz. Keep an eye out for further information as the film nears its release date on Shudder. Prepare to be surprised by Nick Frost‘s dark turn and the chilling secrets lurking within the Black Cab.
