The wait for Part Two of HBO’s critically acclaimed series “The Last of Us” continues, but production is underway! Last week, we shared the first images from the set. Today, we share the news that a new star has joined the cast.

Variety reports that Emmy Award-winning actor Jeffrey Wright has been cast as Isaac, a pivotal character from “The Last of Us Part Two.” Wright will portray this “quietly powerful leader” navigating the complexities of a war-torn world. The actor has a long history of incredible performances in series like “Westworld” and films like The Batman and American Fiction.

Season 2 boasts a stellar cast, including returning stars Pedro Pascal (Joel) and Bella Ramsey (Ellie). Familiar faces like Gabriel Luna (Tommy) and Rutina Wesley (Maria) will also return. Newcomers include Kaitlyn Dever (Abby), Isabela Merced (Dina), and others who will flesh out the rich post-apocalyptic world.

The directors’ roster is equally impressive. Mark Mylod (“Succession”) joins returning directors like Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. This talented team promises to deliver a visually stunning and emotionally resonant season.
