Get ready for a vengeance-fueled thrill ride with Monkey Man, the feature directorial debut of Academy Award-nominated actor Dev Patel (Lion, Slumdog Millionaire)! Produced by horror maestro Jordan Peele (Get Out, Nope), Monkey Man marks Patel’s triumphant leap behind the camera but also his return to the spotlight as Kid, the film’s central protagonist.

The film draws inspiration from the revered Hindu deity Hanuman, a symbol of immense strength and unwavering courage. This influence shapes Kid’s character, a young man hardened by a brutal reality. By night, he fights anonymously in a clandestine fight club, his face obscured by a gorilla mask. He endures relentless beatings, the scars a constant reminder of his struggles. But beneath the surface lies a simmering rage ignited by the tragic murder of his mother and the systemic oppression of the underprivileged.

Years of suppressed rage finally boil over. Kid discovers a way to infiltrate the corrupt elite – the very people responsible for his suffering. His scarred hands, a chilling testament to his past, transform into instruments of vengeance as he embarks on a relentless mission to make them pay.

Monkey Man promises to be a heart-pounding cinematic experience. Patel’s original story, co-written with Paul Angunawela and John Collee (Hotel Mumbai, Master and Commander), lays the foundation for a captivating narrative. Expect spectacular fight sequences and pulse-racing chase scenes, all meticulously choreographed and directed by Patel himself.

Monkey Man boasts a global cast featuring Sharlto Copley (District 9), Pitobash (Million Dollar Arm), and rising stars like Sikandar Kher and Sobhita Dhulipala.

The brutal film benefits from a powerhouse team behind the camera. Academy Award-winner Jordan Peele joins forces with producers Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, both veterans of the John Wick franchise.

Monkey Man is now available to own on Digital platforms. The digital release boasts brand-new bonus content and will arrive on June 11th. For those who prefer physical media, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD releases will follow on June 25th.
