Vertical Entertainment, who is gearing up to unleash Dead Whisper, has now shared the new trailer for its next chilling tale, The Inheritance, from director Alejandro Brugués, the brilliant filmmaker who brought you films and series such as the horror-comedy Juan of the Dead, “From Dusk Till Dawn” the series, and the hit horror film Satanic Hispanics.

In The Inheritance, elderly billionaire Charles Abernathy throws a surprise party for his 75th birthday, but the surprise isn’t for him. A chilling fear overshadows the celebratory mood. Convinced that someone – or something – is out to get him, Charles Abernathy reunites his estranged children with a unique proposition. He puts their inheritances on the line, turning the night into a desperate fight for survival and riches. Will they work together to protect their terrified father, or will old family tensions resurface with deadly consequences?

Joe Russo and Chris Lamont wrote the screenplay for The Inheritance. The film boasts a veteran cast led by iconic actor Bob Gunton (The Shawshank Redemption) as the family’s troubled and distraught billionaire and patriarch. Peyton List, Briana Middleton, Rachel Nichols, and Austin Stowe join him as his estranged children. David Walton and Resse Alexander round out the supporting cast.

The Inheritance premieres in select theaters and on-demand platforms on July 12, 2024. Prepare for a chilling family reunion filled with suspense, action, dark secrets, and deadly action.
