Alien: Romulus has just landed in theaters. However, it is not the only Alien project fans can look forward to. Noah Hawley’s highly anticipated FX series “Alien: Earth” is nearing completion and is now in post-production.

The prequel series, set decades before the iconic 1979 film, promises a fresh perspective on the universe. Hawley, who worked on both the series “Fargo” and “Legion,” has confirmed that the series will avoid the mythology established in the Prometheus movie, focusing instead on exploring the origins of the Xenomorph and its terrifying impact on humanity.

Hawley recently spoke about the new series in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “it could be the next 10 years of my life.” He continued, “We just wrapped. I’m in post, editing away. Obviously, there’s a large visual effects component that takes time. But I couldn’t be happier with the show that we shot. If people wanted a television series based on the world of Alien, I think I’m going to give them something special.”

The show’s cast, including Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis, Adarsh Gourav, Kit Young, and “Justified” star Timothy Olyphant, is set to bring this chilling vision to life.

Alien: Romulus, directed by Fede Alvarez, follows a young group of space colonizers trapped on a derelict space station. Their mission to scavenge for resources quickly turns into a desperate fight for survival. Get your tickets now.

The long-running Alien franchise, established with the 1979 original, shows no signs of ending anytime soon, and we’re thrilled about that. Which are you looking forward to most, “Alien: Earth” or Alien: Romulus? Tell us in the comments.
